Job description
IBM is looking for a Training Developer/Writer. This role will specialize in the area of Communications and Training Development and Writing.

The role will be required to:
• Provide support for developing training content for application, business and process training for both internal client's employees and external industry customers
• Be client facing with the ability to effectively communicate, present training concepts and drafts of presentations to a demanding client
• Document detailed client feedback in a very short amount of time and be able to accurately incorporate feedback into presentations
• Revise presentations quickly with aggressive timeframes within which to revise training after receiving client feedback
• Develop, from concept to final training, product training documentation material 
• Provide support in developing training curriculum and conducting training presentations, seminars, webinars and demonstrate knowledge of training requirements for different end users
• Develop training guidelines for 3-4 software releases a year, focusing on requirements and systems that support commercial mailers ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
1. Determine whether new functionality can be developed into meaningful training
2. Determine what training, if any is needed
3. Identify goals and objectives for the training
4. Design learning activities
5. Conduct training, if required
6. Determine the effectiveness of the training
7. Revise the training program based on feedback from employees, supervisors and others
8. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders throughout the client's organization

Required
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 3 years experience in Writing and Consulting skills (business process analysis, problem solving, negotiate conflicts, ability to build client and stakeholder relationships, deliver presentations, facilitate meetings
  • At least 3 years experience in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • At least 2 years experience in 1 of the following areas: 1. Design Doc Dev (storyboards, scripts, job aids). 2. Content Dev. (graphics, animation, soc media) 3. Process to measure effectiveness 4. Perf. Metrics & Competency Testing
  • Security clearance of Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
  • Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 6 months experience in working with continual sorting processes and systems
  • Security clearance of Public Trust
  • English : Intermediate
