We’re currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team in the position of: CML Diagnostics Sales Consultant Position Summary: Effective development and maintenance of customer base; selling and fostering recurrent use of bcr-abl diagnostic testing in CML patients on treatment within a defined territory; increasing disease monitoring awareness, customer education and support; aligning sales and service goals with corporate goals and objectives Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Promote Genoptix bcr-abl diagnostic services to target physicians, medical assistants, lab managers and other key stakeholders as outlined in the Marketing Plan. •Manage customer relationships in a defined territory in order to become a point of reference for CML testing and treatment related questions. •Educate physicians on monitoring molecular responses for their CML patients according to the NCCN/ELN guidelines •Provide customer support in the interpretation of patient bcr-abl test results. •Meet or exceed assigned case volume targets. •Develop and execute against strategic call plans •Coordinate appropriate support resources (client services, telemarketing, technical) to maximize and strengthen customer relationships. •Maintain sales prospect lists/sales funnels as required to achieve case volume targets. •Maintain a detailed customer database and track record of calls within CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system. •Design and implement Quarterly Business Plans for assigned territory . •Attend technical and sales training programs to further develop competencies. •Manage company expenses within policy and defined budget. •Provide timely feedback to management regarding market trends, competitor activity, new product/service improvements. •Demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all customer/company interactions; respect patient confidentiality as per HIPAA regulations. •Investigate and resolve customer logistics issues . •Initiate new contacts with practices and academic institutions. •Attend trade shows as a representative of the Company in a sales/technical capacity. | |
| Education: •Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; Life Sciences focus preferred but not required •Previous laboratory experience (ie. Medical Technologist), RN, LPN, MA, or PA preferred •PhD preferred Qualifications: •3-5 years of industry sales experience required •Experience selling directly to hematologists/oncologists in private practices, hospitals and academic institutions preferred •General knowledge of cancer disease states and the tests required to diagnose cancer. •Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage and develop an assigned sales area with minimal supervision. •Ability to collaborate and work in matrixed environments •History of routinely exceeding goals •Exceptional communication and presentation skills are required, both verbal and written.
