Job description
As a Watson Labs 3D Programmer / Developer & Data Integration Specialist you will design, code and test advanced prototypes in early stage products for the Watson Labs organization as we commercialize the Watson technology that won Jeopardy! and proves to be a game changing technology for IBM and it's clients. Person must have demonstrated 3D space visualization software development skills either with an open source engine or from scratch. Should be able to convert visual concepts into working 3D visualization's with the help of Data Integrator. Knowledge of common algorithms, data structures, patterns and ability to apply them within constraints of end user systems. Demonstrated mathematical skills and experience creating abstract and unique visuals. Candidate would need to connect data from Watson output to 3D visualization input. Must have experience creating visual graphs and data models from raw data. Must then be able to embed 3D visualization's into different delivery mechanisms - applications, web applications or tablet apps. Candidate needs to be highly motivated, very flexible, and able to work in an environment that constantly requires new ideas and new invention. This is not a traditional development role with well-defined direction as to what code needs to be developed. A willingness to research new ways to approach a difficult problem and ability to quickly learn new technologies is required. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to work well with a cross-site IBM team and with customers.
Required Bachelor's Degree At least 4 years experience in Javascript development experience At least 3 years experience in 3D technologies: OpenGL, WebGL and/or Unity3D Readiness to travel 10% travel annually English: Fluent
Preferred Master's Degree At least 5 years experience in Javascript development experience At least 4 years experience in 3D technologies: OpenGL, WebGL and/or Unity3D At least 3 years experience in Web technologies: Dojo, CSS, Ajax, REST, JSON, HTML At least 5 years experience in Experience with MAC, Linux, Windows & Mobile Environments At least 5 years experience in Experience with data technologies: SQL, noSQL data stores At least 3 years experience in Experience with various other programming languages: C++, other Basic knowledge in Experience with IBM Tools: Eclipse, Rational, etc.
