The Medtronic Clinical Operations (MCO) Account Manager is the primary owner of the relationship between GCO, Medtronic Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and global partners. The Account Manager plays an integral role in the success of the client's work experience with MCO which is critical to the organization's success, specifically managing the day-to-day relationships with these strategic partners and developing a deep understanding of their product lines and long-term business strategies. He/she assists in anticipating, defining, and resolving issues related to MCO services, project prioritization and cost justification by aligning business interests with financial goals and establishing metrics to analyze and track the performance of their partnership initiatives with MCO.

o Represent  MCO globally as the Account Manager between Medtronic SBU and MCO personnel

o Leverage practices and tools globally to drive consistency in MCO service delivery. Drive best practices and standardization across SBUs.
o Promote initiatives to optimize Medtronic’s position relative to quality, asset management cost, lead-time/responsiveness, risk management, and technology, in support of Medtronic innovation and growth objectives.
o Coordinate and manage operational team briefings

QUALIFICATIONS AND EVALUATIONS

Qualifications Required:

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement Monday, December 09, 2013.

Time-in-grade:  Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS 8: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS- 07) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.  Qualifying specialized experience is experience that provided knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property. Creditable specialized experience may have been gained in work on a police force; through service as a military police officer; in work providing visitor protection and law enforcement in parks, forests, or other natural resource or recreational environments; in performing criminal investigative duties; or in other work that provided the required knowledge and skills.
NOTE: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS: 
The Supervisory Police Officer must annually undergo and pass a physical for police officers in accordance with the VA Handbook 0730. The Supervisory Police Officer must possess emotional and mental stablitliy. Physical demands include moderate to arduous physical exertion, the ablity to run, climb multiple stairs, and lift disabled or injured individuals. The work requires frequent recurring surveillance in which theres is a considerable amount of walking(up to 8hrs), standing(up to 8hrs), bending(up to 5 hours), climbing w/use of both legs and arms(up to 5hrs), crawling(up to 5hrs). Also a requirement of heavy lifting/carrying of 15lbs and over, straight pulling, pushing, pulling hand over hand, use of fingers, requirement of both hands and legs, operation of motor vehicle, ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously, ability and desirablity in the use of a firearm, near vision(correctable), far vision(correctable), requirement of both eyes, depth perception, ability to distinguish colors and shades of colors, hearing(aid permitted). Enviromental factors include working outside and inside in excessive heat, cold and humidity, also working in fumes, smokes, or gases, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, and working around moivng objects or vehicles. Also the Supervisory Police Officer will work alone and may work protracted or irregular hours of work. The Supervisory Police Officer will also intervene in assaults, criminal acts and disturbances.

The Regional Supervision Director (RSD) will provide leadership and direction to a team of Regional Supervision Managers and Regional Supervision Analysts. * Development and training of new OSJ branch managers and staff with regards to broker dealer policies and procedures for compliance and supervision.
* Create and/or revise current suitability and trade review procedures in accordance with regulatory mandates and trends as applicable.
* Work in conjunction with IT to beta test and provide feedback on new technology created for the Supervision Department and first line supervisors.
* Coordinates and enforces heightened or special supervision of branch offices or advisors as needed.
* Maintain records and files as outlined in policies and procedures.
* Works on delegated and collaborative cross-functional projects representing Field Supervision.
* Travel required as dictated by above responsibilities

Bachelor's degree preferred

Minimum Qualifications

Experience with system startup, firmware, Operating System interaction, boot options, and various parameters on HP DL380G5/G6/G7/Gen8 class server hardware is necessary. Prior team experience in group development efforts. Experience in Store Vision Teller, Subversion Administration and Expect Scripting. Knowledge of network printing and CUPS printing would be helpful. End-to-end knowledge of Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, and Python (LAPP) is desired. Development experience in multiple languages, including C, C++, Ruby, Python, Perl and various shell scripting languages is advantageous. VMware vCenter installation, support and maintenance knowledge is preferred, with knowledge in the areas of design, architecture, implementation, and support, is a big plus. Cisco network equipment background is a plus. Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and SQLServer knowledge is beneficial. Knowledge related to the implementation, configuration and support of Apache, Tomcat, Java, Ant, and CXF Struts is a plus. Familiarity with development debugging tools, such as strace, ltrace, and SystemTap is beneficial. An understanding of LVM snapshot capabilities and implementation methods to accurately and flawlessly maintain a zero impact and fast backout capability for operating system upgrades is preferred. Experience automating RPM and kickstart with Python is a plus. Knowledge of all aspects of upgrading RHEL from major version to major version is desired. Knowledge of Active Directory. Experience with Tivoli distribution software, network protocol analysis, hardware certification, testing methodologies, application packaging and distribution would be advantageous.
