This role is national in scope and supports both
the North American Coffee Partnership (NACP) leadership team for
critical decision making and the internal sales team for fact-based
selling. The Senior Category Manager works closely with the NACP GM and
leadership team across functions to analyze the business, identify
competitive threats and maximize market opportunities.The Senior
Category Manager will help develop internal communication materials
(e.g. Joint Ventures board decks) as well as make ongoing
recommendations to the leadership team and internal sales team to
capture customer and market opportunities.This person must build the
category story to sell Starbucks innovation and base platforms. The
Senior Category Manager also works closely with the PBC strategy team to
influence Merchandising Standards and the critical Must Carry SKU
list.This is a complex role with many stakeholders both internally and
externally, interacting with multiple brand platforms, customer teams,
Seattle, Somers and the NACP leadership team in real time.
Qualifications:
- 5 Years of CPG experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Savvy user of IRI and Star
- 5+ years' Category Manager/Insights background
- Must be willing and able to travel 20% of the time
