Science and Research
· Lead development of "culinary/gold standard" prototypes (working with PepsiCo Food Service, Marketing Innovation, Food service customers and Co-packers), product design and consumer validation
· Coordinate key activities between culinary, seasoning, product/process development, food safety, regulatory and manufacturing teams to deliver finished product on time
· Lead development of product design specifications, food safety & quality standards and manufacturing process parameters
· Collaborate with Co-pack team and co-packers to qualify manufacturing lines and commission new products for commercialization
· Manage a small team of scientists and/or engineers leading product/process development
· Represent Frito Lay R&D in Food Service customer, co-packer, and key cross-functional meetings
Qualifications:
- MS or Ph.D. in Food Science
- Minimum 10 years of product development experience with at least 3 years of frozen products
- Minimum 3 years of program & people management experience
- Demonstrated leadership and executional skills through product commercialization
- Great communication, collaboration and influencing skills
- Must be willing and able to travel 20-30% of the time
