Responsible for the design and implementation of a go-forward operational framework for comprehensive legal entity management and measurement within GE Capital HQ. Areas of responsibility include project management of cross functional legal entity initiatives, development of legal entity performance and operating metrics, strategic organization design, and creation and implementation of a comprehensive legal entity management policy.
Role Summary/Purpose continued: Responsibilities will include an area inside of the broader initiative which may include framework and policy design, formalizing committee governance structures, acceleration of cross functional linkages, legal entity error escalation and reporting, development of management reports to include analytics and operating metrics, and project management of multiple GE Capital Corporate (GECC) wide projects. This role is expected to own the selected operational area(s) inside of the initiative and drive it through completion. Clear thinking and ability to work cross functionally on a broad range of topics will be required. Come be at the leading edge of future GECC Legal Entity Management! This role will drive operational review and rigor across multiple GECC business units to support GECC's "Get to Strong" initiatives in Legal Entity Controllership.


  • Support an area within operational controllership (i.e. external reporting, cash settlement, client management, closing & reporting).
  • Serve as subject matter expert to drive controllership simplification and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure routines and procedures are in place for timely, accurate collection of Regulatory Reporting data for a focused area (FR Y-9C, Y-9LP, Y-11, 2314, FFIEC 041).
  • Consolidate account reconciliations and own one or more closing processes.
  • Conduct in depth analysis and develop solutions to ensure compliance and proper controls.
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of finance or accounting experience
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Experience managing projects
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
  • Proficient use of financial systems and Microsoft Office (eg. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


    Eligibility Requirements:
  • MUST be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Master's degree, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Public Accounting experience
  • Legal entity controllership experience
  • Graduate of a GE Leadership Development Program such as Financial Management Program (FMP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear thinking and ability to work cross functionally on a broad range of topics
