This position is responsible for executing complex Data Management initiatives & projects that span multiple businesses & functions. Responsibilities include leading the development of strategy & implementation planning, and partnering with IT to organize key design principles for effective information management across GECC's strategic data assets. In addition, this position drives continuous improvement to support simplification, productivity, & compliance.
  • Responsible for project management activities within the Data Management team.
  • Partners with key stakeholders and senior leaders to execute the strategy.
  • Functions as point of contact for the Enterprise Data Mgnt projects and provides status updates to senior leaders and stakeholders on project status and defined deliverables.
  • Utilizes expertise to facilitate and lead large cross-functional process improvement teams to deliver results for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • May identify opportunities to automate processes for sustained improvement.
  • Facilitates assigned areas to develop and maintain process measurements and implement controls to monitor current processes.
  • Troubleshoots with team members to resolve obstacles/roadblocks, serves as a sounding board for problem resolution and ensures smooth, continuous progress on projects.
  • Leverages best practices and shares within the team and across the business.
  • Develops rigorous control plans, working closely with process owners, project champions and senior management to ensure improvement gains are sustained on a long-term basis.
  • Develops and may facilitate or deliver training required to implement plans. Directly manages a team of direct reports and works across functions and teams to drive key projects.
  • Partner with IT to organize & lead the implementation of key design principles for effective information management across GECC's strategic data assets
  • Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant risk, finance, IT, or data management experience
  • Strong business financial acumen, especially in Financial Services Industry
  • Demonstrated experience managing high
  • profile, dynamic projects with multiple constituents, and involving technology development
  • Working knowledge of MS office tools, and data mining tools (Access, SQL, BO, SAS, etc.)

  • Prior GE experience in Finance or Risk Management. Financial Management Program (FMP) grad or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) grad.
  • Previous project management experience, including leadership of project team resources.
  • Demonstrated leadership of a cross
  • business, multifunctional or matrix project.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with financial services products and processes.
  • Strong systems aptitude, able to identify opportunities to leverage technology as a productivity enabler.
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships at multiple levels of an organization.
  • Employs a collaborative skill set with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes in a cross
  • functional, matrix organization.
  • Clear thinker who can seek out and identify key data themes and distill the findings into an actionable strategy and solution.
  • Solid communication & presentation skills with the ability to build and deliver effective presentations that are tailored to the needs of the audience, able to influence and gain consensus.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented.
