Role will help execute Compliance testing for GECC Americas region including governance, GECC horizontal and business specific reviews as needed. Compliance risk areas include Consumer Protection, Sanctions, AML, Misuse of Information, Sound & Ethical Business Practices, Financial Services Institutions, Financial Services Products, Sectors & Government Business. Position offers exposure to senior leaders in the Americas as individual travels to conduct select testing throughout the region.
  • Execute testing of Compliance risk areas to validate compliance with local laws and regulations, and GECC and business specific policies and procedures. Testing will also validate effectiveness of risk mitigating controls and business remediation on previously identified issues.
  • Lead or support cross business horizontal testing of shared risk areas, GECC COEs and 3rd party agents and suppliers
  • Conduct business specific testing for Sectors, Restructured Ops, Insurance and other businesses where staffing resources are inadequate or where a conflict of interest prevents independent testing.
  • Execute other Compliance related assignments as requested
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree with 3 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Controllership, Internal Control or other similar function (Or high school diploma/GED and minimum 7 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit Controllership, Internal Control or other similar function)
  • Minimum 3 + years with Internal Audit or Internal Control testing experience with specific understanding of internal controls
  • Experience driving change across the organization at varying levels
  • Experience working independently and cross-functionally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
