Essentials:

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field.

5 years of experience with the following:
-
Communication
strategies and content development for senior level executives,
including speeches, scripts, talking points, blog posts and social media
tactics
-
Development and execution of communication plans in a corporate environment or government agency
-
Speech writing, editing and writing articles
-
Must present a portfolio of work at interview.
Additional:
-
Knowledge of computer/software industry and marketing preferred
-
Public policy or government affairs experience preferred
-
Strong relationship building and ability to work with senior level executives to develop key messages
-
Demonstrated ability to develop communications strategy to achieve corporate goals
-
Excellent
written, verbal, and visual communications skills, with the ability to
communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences
-
Familiarity
with new media communications channels; ability to integrate these
channels into plans & strategies to achieve stated goals
-
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines
Preferences:

Experience with communication needs of an international organization
-
Event coordination experience
-
Public policy or government affairs knowledge
