Description

 

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing communications deliverables and activities in support of international sales organization and executive vice presidents.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Advises clients on how to meet specific objectives in designated communications areas.
  • Writes and edits organizational, internal and external communications, including articles, scripts, speeches, announcements, newsletters, blog posts, electronic communications, social media content and other communication materials.
  • Integrates both new and traditional media approaches to stay current with communications trends and appeal to target audiences.
  • Develops and maintains relationships within the company in order to deliver key company messages.
  • Plans, schedules and coordinates specified communications in support of activities such as executive keynote speeches; executive panel moderation/participation; executive event hosting; external and internal communications; internal town halls and employee breakfasts.
  • Develops long-range planning goals and metrics for meeting communications objectives.
  • Creates communications that reflect the company’s brand, solidify executive thought leadership and support sales lead generation.

Qualifications

 

Essentials:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • 5 years of experience with the following:
    • Communication strategies and content development for senior level executives, including speeches, scripts, talking points, blog posts and social media tactics
    • Development and execution of communication plans in a corporate environment or government agency 
    • Speech writing, editing and writing articles
  • Must present a portfolio of work at interview.
Additional:
  • Knowledge of computer/software industry and marketing preferred
  • Public policy or government affairs experience preferred
  • Strong relationship building and ability to work with senior level executives to develop key messages
  • Demonstrated ability to develop communications strategy to achieve corporate goals
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communications skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences
  • Familiarity with new media communications channels; ability to integrate these channels into plans & strategies to achieve stated goals
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines
Preferences:
  • Experience with communication needs of an international organization
  • Event coordination experience
  • Public policy or government affairs knowledge
