What You’ll Do

As a Settlement Auditor for John Deere Financial in Johnston, IA, you will identify and communicate potential credit concerns to the credit group and research and respond to dealer requests for information and support related to systems, dealer statements, and wholesale finance terms and incentive programs. You will audit dealer settlements based on the published guidelines and policies. In addition you will:
  • Be responsible for verifying appropriate supporting documentation for credits, including floor plans, retail notes and leases, and incentive bonuses and rentals
  • Follow-up on discrepancies identified in the settlement processes and/or various audit reports
  • Identify and communicates potential credit concerns to the credit group

What It Takes

 
 
We need an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, who thrives on solving problems and working in a global team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor's Degree in a Business/Management related discipline and 1 – 3 years’ experience working in the finance industry. We also require:
  • The ability to be flexible, identify when change is needed and be able to work through ambiguous situations all while having a sense of urgency for getting results
  • Accurate and consistent review of data/documents, proactive actions to prevent mistakes, and the ability to follow procedures closely (i.e. auditing)
  • The ability to adjust balances within a system
  • Ability to use various computer applications/programs including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
A strong candidate will also have:
  • Understanding of accounting fundamentals, such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgets, etc.
  • Experience with problem solving account and balance discrepancies
This position is not eligible for relocation benefits.
