- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Education, Parks and Recreation or related field required.
- 1 year of experience working as a camp counselor
- 1 year of experience planning, coordinating, and implementing recreation programs for school age groups.
Additional:
- Ability to manage staff of 15 or more counselors and staff effectively.
- Ability to effectively hire appropriate camp staff and train them accordingly.
- Must be able to use necessary technology for financial reporting
needs. These include but are not limited to CVENT (or similar
registration system), Sharepoint, Contribute, and Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to use computer applications listed above to create
daily reports for camp needs. Reports include but are not limited to
sign in sheets, rosters, allergy reports, contact information, and
distribution lists.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form on a regular basis.
- Ability to write age appropriate curriculum for all camp programs.
- Ability to plan, organize, and delegate responsibilities.
Preferred:
- Previous supervisory experience
