Description
Advise Intel's worldwide R&D organizations on engagements with academia and industry, coordinate with other business units on certain engagements, and support innovation and invention in the Labs. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Labs' BU partners and IP Counsel in selecting appropriate intellectual property frameworks and developing open/walk positions for the Labs' deal review process; draft and negotiate agreements with third parties for collaborative research and technology licenses, as well as consulting and services agreements; and partner with IBL Legal team members in the U.S., EMEA, and APAC on regional and local R&D engagements.
The position also includes working on Intel's content protection initiatives.
Experience with open source and copyright matters, and with publishing agreements, is preferred.
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited university;
- Prior experience working on technology and collaboration agreements;
- Ability to operate independently for most matters, and with limited guidance from a more experienced attorney on particularly complex issues;
- Good written and oral communication, negotiation, drafting and project management skills;
- Ability to interact and deliver superior support to all employees including executives;
- Proficient in influencing senior stakeholders, and have clear effective communication skills.
