Sr. Graphics Software Engineer - Ray Tracing - 726699

Description

Responsible for design, implementation and optimization of high performance ray tracing algorithms and software on Intel Architecture processing platforms. Works in collaboration with various internal and external partners and customers to enhance and improve graphics performance and image quality on current and upcoming multi-core and many-core processor devices. Will research, recommend, and implement new, optimal ray tracing methods and features. Performs deep performance analysis, profiling and implement software performance enhancements, as well as, recommend future hardware & software improvements. Will develop and present collateral, training, white papers and technical papers for submission to journals and conferences.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in computer science with computer graphics concentration,
- 5+ years experience in graphics rendering algorithms and software development
- 3+ years experience in ray tracing algorithm development and implementation
- 5+ years experience with C/C++ programming
- 2+ years experience developing under Linux, MS-Windows and/or MAC operating systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in optimizing code and algorithms for modern x86 instruction architectures including SIMD vector extensions such as SSE or AVX

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Phd Preferred
- 2+ years OpenGL driver and rendering experience is highly desired.
- 1+ years experience with HPC (high performance computing), Scientific computing and/or Visualization systems using volume rendering, VTK Library, VisIT, Paraview is desired.
