What You'll Do
As an Engineer for the John Deere Seeding Group,
located in Moline, IL, you will provide problem solving of electrical
issues on new product development and current production. In addition,
you will:
- Participate on PDP (Product Delivery Process) teams as the Electrical representative.
- Work with Supply Management, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to optimize designs for cost, quality, and manufacturability.
- Provide technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations.
- Be responsible for electrical design specifications in document form for internal and supplier teams.
- Work closely with Supply Management to identify key suppliers that have the technical capability to deliver electrical component requirements.
What It Takes
We need an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, who
thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally,
you will have a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work
experience. We also require:
- Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical components
- Strong customer focus.
- Excellent communication skills- must interface successfully with engineers, personnel of other disciplines and suppliers.
A strong candidate will also have:
- An understanding of the theory of operation and customer interaction with agricultural equipment.
- Product Engineering experience.
