Senior Manager, Digital User Experience-13017660
Description
The Senior Manager, Digital User Experience will be responsible for creating competitively differentiated online experiences that delight Global Corporate Payment clients. The successful candidate will work closely with different project teams to solve complicated interaction problems and ensure that UX best practices are followed.
General Responsibilities
- Partner with product management to develop product vision
- Develop compelling visual artifacts (high-level storyboards, mockups, wireframes, prototypes, etc.) to effectively communicate UX needs to internal teams and stakeholders
- Reinforce consistent design patterns across platforms
- Lead user acceptance and usability testing to validate designs
- Create and maintain User Interface standards
- Research the latest UX and interaction concepts, presentation layer technologies, digital best practices, online trends, etc., and provide recommendations
Qualifications
General Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree – Preference given to candidates whose degree is in one of the following areas (or similar): Fine/Graphic Arts, Interaction Design, Psychology, Human Factors, Marketing Communications, etc.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present ideas both verbally and visually
- Comfortable in all parts of the user-centered design process, including: research methods, user interviews, personas, wireframes, information architecture diagrams, screen designs, interaction designs and UI specifications
- Experience creating visual concepts and prototypes using industry-standard tools
- Can scale concepts from low to hi-fi: whiteboard photos to gorgeous designs
- Familiarity with enterprise software architecture, systems, and designs
- Aptitude to identify complex problems and distill them down into simple solutions
- Self-starter with the ability to learn new technology quickly
- Highly organized to meet deadlines and stay within a budget
- Experience working in the financial industry is a plus
Qualifications Specialty:
- UX/UI Designer: This area of emphasis applies to candidates with background and experience centered primarily in visual and interaction design for digital products
- 3-5 years experience in visual and interaction design for the web (agency experience preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating a breadth of experience in visual and interaction design
- Skill planning and designing for Responsive Web Design (RWD), including mobile and tablet design, and a mobile-first methodology
- Demonstrated expertise in Adobe CS products, including excellent file organization (layers)
- Clear documentation of desired interactions and elements for development
- Experience designing infographics and other data visualizations
Qualifications Specialty:
- UX Strategist: This area of emphasis applies to candidates with background and experience centered primarily in UX research, strategy, and related activities
- Proven experience developing end-to-end UX strategies and artifacts (research and other methodologies, personas, UX hypotheses, storyboards, prototypes, data visualizations, etc.)
- Proficient in conducting user testing, both formal and informal
- Skill creating unbiased user testing and research scripts (at least one example)
- Experience creating low-fidelity mockups (or better) of UX recommendations, screen designs, and interaction models/designs
- Agency experience preferred
Qualifications Specialty:
- Data Analyst: This area of emphasis applies to applicants with background and experience centered primarily in data analysis, visualization, and recommendations related to UX activities
- Demonstrated proficiency using analytics software, such as Adobe SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics, etc. (activities including: site traffic, tagging, campaign setup and management, data aggregation, etc.)
- Insight into user behavior and experience nuances based on existing data
- Skill in and proven experience determining relevant metrics-based user activities, including whether UX and behavior hypotheses are correctly represented in overall tagging and tracking activities of the site (A/B testing, tree logic, etc.)
- Portfolio of data analyses, visualizations, and UX recommendations that were instrumental in improving real-world user experience
- Proficiency designing meaningful and visually appealing infographics
