Description
This person will oversee and manage all aspects of the
administration of new and existing software contracts with domestic and
multi-national customers, and will provide guidance to sales staff and
contract negotiators to aid in the negotiation of contracts, which
reflect accurate software inventories and are manageable. Duties
include: reviewing and assessing contractual documents for new software
licenses which require non-routine contract management; establishing
framework for administering non-standard contracts to ensure compliance
with contractual terms and conditions, company policies and customer
expectations; understanding and assessing implications of proper revenue
recognition, global intra-company allocations and other issues related
to the management of assigned contracts; preparing customer invoices and
maintaining associated back-up documentation, in accordance with
contractual terms and conditions; updating and/or editing internal
customer database to add new license observations, initiate media
creation and coordinate special requirements and/or exceptions as
needed; working closely with the entire sales account team, legal staff
and other contracts staff to share customer intelligence and provide
optimum account management.
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- 2 years of contract administration experience
Equivalent Essential
- Associate's degree in related field plus 4 years of the stated essential experience
- High School Diploma (GED) plus 6 years of the stated essential experience
Additional
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to manage a heavy workload in a multitask environment
- Ability to think independently and solve problems under limited direction and supervision
Preferences
- Contract administration experience involving computer software or hardware
- Experience with software license renewals, fee quotations, and customer hardware upgrades
- Experience preparing customer invoices
