Description

 Job Summary:
Provide Category Management support for the Drug Channel business by evaluating key performance principles as well as Consumer and Shopper Insights to deliver actionable recommendations toward category positioning. Collaborate extensively across internal marketing and sales team resources to uncover Unilever opportunities that will enhance customer development and category market share. Develop strong advisory relationships with key customers to become the preferred Category Management resource. Utilizing appropriate analytical tools, provide support to key customers by providing insights towards achieving optimal category performance. This position reports to the Drug Category Management Team Lead and will be based in Deerfield, IL.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive Best in Class Unilever Category Management principles and ethics as well as Consumer and Shopper Insights
- Provide Category expertise and recommendations to across assigned categories
- Provide analytics using Unilever’s wide range of market, consumer and shopper intelligence resources to drive business opportunities
- Develop strong relationships with various levels of management at the customer and Unilever
- Pro-actively support Sales on key business opportunities with this customer and provide actionable recommendations
- Utilize Category Management tools such as UNIMIX, TABs, Space management such as Apollo/Spaceman, Promo Tracking tool, Pricing Evaluator, Promo Evaluations, Loyalty Card, etc to develop best in class Category Management merchandising recommendations

Scope:
This position actively participates in the development of sales strategy by providing complex analytics and insight to consumer dynamics that supports our roadmap to growth plan. This position interfaces with our customers at several levels of the organization. Knowledge and a working understanding of Nielsen, Spectra, UNIMIX, Loyalty Card and other syndicated information systems preferred.

Focus:
This position will serve as Category Manager for Drug Channel Personal Care and/or Food & Refreshment Categories

Key Requirements:
-Education BS / BA required
-Excellent planning, analytical, communication and computer skills required
-Strong PowerPoint, Excel and Presentation skills
-Ability to work independently and communicate with Customer/Team members on a daily basis
-Experience working knowledge of Category Management principles, ACNielsen, Shopper/Consumer Insights and Space management software and Loyalty Card preferred
-Minimum 2 years Sales experience preferred
-Key account sales experience preferred
-Objective Analytical Power
-Practical Creativity Category Management
-Entrepreneurial Drive
