Context/Scope:
This position will interact with teams in Canada and Mexico in addition to Diageo’s Global Service Center in Budapest
Purpose of Role:
To provide overall accounting ownership and business decision support for Canada, Supply and US Tequila businesses.

Key Outputs:
· Primary point of contact and business partner to commercial teams for technical accounting and business decision support
· Provide technical accounting and integration support on potential business acquisitions
· Responsible for month end close of Canada and Supply general ledgers
· Overall ownership of financial statement preparation and submission to Group Accounting to ensure compliance with IFRS
· Present quarterly balance sheet reviews to Senior Leadership in order to identify and mitigate business risks
· Primary liaison to DBSC accounting team
· Primary liaison to both internal and external auditors in order to facilitate audit process
· Drive overall KPI improvement across financial reporting metrics (including account reconciliation quality, journal entries, timeliness of financial deliverables, aging, etc.)
Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of Accounting experience required, preferably at a Big 4 public accounting firm
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in accounting
  • CPA
  • MBA Degree a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus
  • Spanish speaking a plus
