Lead Mechanic (Aseptic Systems Mechanic) 3rd shift
Qualifications:
• Work in a manner safe to self and others.
• Sterilize and operate aseptic fillers
• Check tolerances and change seals for Waukesha pumps.
• Read sketches, print, and operating instructions and proceed accordingly.
• Check materials and parts and make requisitions.
• Cut and form parts and assemble parts to construct machinery and equipment.
• Install, test, and time machinery.
• Weld, including heliarc and stainless steel.
• Install, alter and repair pipe systems.
• Will observe and work along with flash cooler / aseptic filler control panel operator. Works in cooperation with the Aseptic Supervisors.
• At least one year of mechanic experience in related industry is required.
• Cannery or food processing industry experience preferred.
• Good communication, organizational and planning skills, written and verbal.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Ability to work any shift, including weekends and must be reliable.
Experience:
Ability to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• System Integrity checks (leak checks)
• Shrouding
• Effects of positive/negative pressure
• O-ring materials and applications
• Steps for an aseptic rebuild

Minimum qualifications:

Must have High School Diploma or GED
1 plus year(s) in food production/ manufacturing environment
Aseptic experience within Canning/ food processing environment is preferred.
Hydraulic and Pneumatic system(s) troubleshooting experience preferred.
 
Must meet minimum requirements of on site administered Work Key tests
 
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. This employee is occasionally required to stand; walk;sit climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl talk or hear; and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move more than 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
