Description
The Global Field Enablement (FE) team is an internal division whose role is to build the core and strategic capabilities of the Global Corporate Payments (GCP) Sales and Account Development organizations by creating innovative and value-added change management, communication, learning and development solutions. This includes programs to support new hires, the launch of new products, services and tools, and soft skill and leader development.

The team is seeking an experienced internal communications consultant who is responsible for the development and execution of internal communication strategies that educate and inform our employees on behalf of senior business leaders and key functional partners. In addition, s/he will support global change management communication efforts. The Manager should be a tenured and strategic thinker with strong digital communication experience. The Manager, Internal Communication reports to the Director of Global Field Enablement for Global Corporate Payments.
- Develop a clear and compelling internal communication vision and strategy that gives our Sales and Account Development audiences a variety of offerings to stay informed and engaged, including an increased focus on the digital and, eventually mobile, experiences
- Turn strategic vision into effective operations by creating, promoting and executing new and innovative communication vehicles, programs and tactics that shift employees from aware to actively engaged
- Conduct ongoing usability testing and analysis to evaluate and improve communication vehicles
- Incorporate market research and leading practices, with an eye toward effectiveness, localization and scalability
- Work closely with Canada, Latin America, Europe and JAPA colleagues to ensure consistent approach where appropriate
- Assist business unit and functional leaders in communicating thoughtfully and effectively to various internal audiences
- Help ensure alignment and communication between different teams within the business and build a broad understanding of business unit goals and best practices across GCP

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have:
- Clear understanding of the role of strategic communication as a key business driver that impacts the ability of an organization to succeed in reaching, or surpassing, its goals.
- Experience in developing global communication strategies for, and providing strategic communication advice to, large, highly matrixed, fast-paced organizations and their business and functional leaders
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information and concepts into plain language
- Proficiency in executing internal communications activities.
- Digital communication savvy – a solid understanding of how to use and apply such communication and data to benefit the organization; knowledge of Salesforce.com’s Site.com and Chatter a plus.
- Ability to influence others with well-developed diplomatic and negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, readily connecting with others and able to build and sustain excellent relationships at multiple levels in the organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and a demanding work environment by working quickly and efficiently with limited supervision.
- 7-10 years experience in employee or internal communications roles in a large global company or communication consulting firm
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, English or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
