Description
Global Field Enablement (FE) team is an internal division whose role is to build the core and strategic capabilities of the GCP Sales and Account Development organizations by creating innovative and value-added change management, communication, learning and development solutions. This includes programs to support new hires, the launch of new products, services and tools, and soft skill and leader development.
The team is seeking a dynamic and innovative Manager of Instructional Design, who is responsible for driving a global and consistent approach to learning and continuous improvement in the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of training. The Manager should be a tenured and dynamic leader with strong e-learning and overall training strategy and measurement experience. The Manager, Instructional Design reports to the Director of Global Field Enablement for Global Corporate Payments.
- Leverage instructional design methodologies to assess, design and develop learning programs that incorporate formal, informal, social, mobile, video and assessment vehicles and are aligned with business goals.
- Build and manage relationships with Global Corporate Payment leaders and key partners to gain an understanding of their goals and needs, gain buy-in to your proposed initiatives and drive initiative success.
- Work in unison with FE colleagues to determine ongoing regional needs and support implementation strategies.
- Evaluate success of learning programs using Kirkpatrick’s level 1-4 established metrics.
- Conduct ongoing benchmarking against internal and external best practices, including the use of new technologies, to ensure programs are effective and innovative.
- Share thought leadership on the design of the new knowledge management platform being built in Salesforce.com.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of three instructional designers.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have:
- Comprehensive knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply current instructional design and training development models, learning technologies, change management practices and adult learning philosophy
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale, global training programs using e-learning applications (experience with Articulate preferred), social media platforms, mobile technology and video
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and consult with senior leaders, business partners, internal customers, and colleagues to drive business results
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment and prioritization
- Strong communication (written and verbal), consulting, stakeholder management, relationship management and influencing skills at all levels in an organization
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and change to improve efficiencies and the effectiveness of learning solutions
- Proven ability to attract, develop and lead a high-performing team and effectively manage employee engagement
- Understanding of B2B Sales and Client Management business practices (preferred)
- Knowledge of American Express and Global Corporate Payments (optional)
Educational requirement:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning & Development role
- Master's Degree in related field
