QA Lead - ATL001YD
US-GA-Atlanta
The Research Tool of the Future program is a multi-year initiative to increase EY’s audit content.
The QA Test Lead will be reporting directly to the Test Manager, you will lead medium sized teams responsible for delivery of Quality Assured applications to production. You will help manage the functional testing activities and co-ordinate with performance, automation and load testing teams for the delivery of testing for the Assurance portfolio.
The team is multi-disciplined consisting of Business Analysts, Tech Leads, Product Owner, Data Modelers/Developers, QA and a SCRUM Master. Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of the Agile Methodology and web application development source code (i.e. ASP.net, PHP, Java Script)
 
- Oversee test activities which include: design, develop and execute test strategies/plans; perform impact and gap analysis; monitor and instruct test resources on proper procedures to ensure team compliance, status reporting to Manager on development projects, coordinate issue resolution,
-Participate in Release/Iteration Planning
-Ensure User Stories are testable and measurable
-Assist others in estimating task effort and dependencies
- Responsible for team commitments within the Sprints
- Communicate (verbal and written) with business, development, and senior management, on the progress of the Release Period project goals, objectives, and testing efforts.
-Lead multiple small to medium sized on and offshore teams
-Prepare Test Estimates
-Identify and communicate risks and issues
-Create and review test plans and test cases ensuring alignment with standards
-Prepare and manage QA Project Plan
-Verify the availability of the QA environment for testing
-Prepare metrics and report QA findings
-Prepare QA Project Closeout Report
-Ensure that all system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved
-Support all quality initiatives that are implemented during each Sprint
-Support in the development of quality assurance and testing policies, standards and procedures
- Initiate Risk management and escalation
-Where appropriate advise on User Acceptance Testing for a given Portfolio of projects
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other IT Services, IT Solutions functions and customers to expedite delivery of IT solution
- Review Test Scenarios
-Review Test Cases/Scripts
Review Manual and Automated test Results
-Review Observation/Defects daily
-Assist in the development of quality assurance and testing policies, standards, and procedures
-Conduct tests and analyze results to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and/or client requirements
-Provide daily test status to the Test Lead
- Adhere to QA & Test processes to support global QA Testing activities
-Support Team Lead in upward stakeholder management and day-to-day management of the QA & Test organization
-Ability to push quality upstream to product owners and other stakeholders
- Work closely with off-shore teams and 3rd party vendors to deliver projects to time, cost and quality requirements
- Proficient at scheduling testing and meeting delivery deadlines
- Ability to work within a high performing Agile environment
-Knowledge of network infrastructure components and concepts
 
 
 
  
To qualify, candidates must have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
-Minimum of 7 years as a QA Test Lead
-Minimum 3+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment
-3+ years of automation experience using tools such as QTP or QC
-At least 2 year’s experience using HP/ALM is required
-Experience working with User Stories
-Ability to manage time well, organize and prioritize
-Extremely detailed oriented. Must be able to repeat testing tasks multiple times without missing quality issues
-Experience working with on and offshore teams
-Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle including Functional & Non-Functional Test Phases
-Experience on test programs with different types of testing, i.e. functional, non-functional, database/backend testing
-Experience testing web applications, mobile a plus
-Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
-Ability to escalate accurately, timely and efficiently
-Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
-Ability to understand and integrate with cultural differences and engage with virtual cross-cultural, cross-border teams
-Ability to work with business analysis and business stakeholders to undertake exploratory testing
-Work with database administrators and developers to identify and carry out appropriate performance and load testing
- Extremely knowledgeable in automated and Data driven testing
