Serves as senior technical expert for Windows/VMWare operations team. Responsible for driving best practices in maintenance, patching and monitoring in data center and business site Windows/VMware infrastructure. Designs and implements infrastructure operations improvement initiatives. Coordinates internal and external communication, issue resolution, vendor relationships, and successful transition to operations teams. Role can be based in Stamford, CT or Alpharetta, GA.
  • Provide Operational Oversight of Windows/VMWare support partners.
  • Lead security defect remediation program, ensuring compliance targets are achieved.
  • Ensures all standards are adhered to throughout the environment.
  • Ensures infrastructure designs are capable of meeting business critical application SLAs, recovery CTQs, and maintenance requirements in a cost-effective manner.
  • Reviews infrastructure-related incidents and drives root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Review and approve Windows & VMware changes.
  • Leads long-term infrastructure projects and process improvements.
  • Leads the development of infrastructure capacity plans to support assigned applications.
  • Defines infrastructure requirements and infrastructure project plans to address known gaps and identified risks.
  • Provide senior level on-call technical support for Windows and VMWare infrastructure.
  • Lead infrastructure related projects to drive operations improvements, remediate compliance gaps and reduce down time.
  • Maintains industry knowledge related to technology trends in specific technology areas.
  • Ensure Windows/VMWare operations are aligned to FFIEC standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of IT experience or in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED and minimum of 5 years of IT experience and project and/or program management
  • Minimum 3 years of project and/or program management
  • Minimum 3 years of Windows and VMware system administration
  • Must be willing to work out of the an office located in Stamford, CT or Alpharetta, GA
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%

  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Server / Enterprise Administrator, MCSA / E equivalent preferred
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred
  • Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, supports and drives change and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways
