Job summary
 
As Operations Coordinator, you'll process and/or review more complex Human Resources (HR) transactions. Your work will comply with established policies and procedures within the HR Shared Services Center (HRSSC). You'll also use your proven experience and abilities to coach less experienced team members.
 
In this role you'll receive limited supervision.
 
Responsibilities
  • Carry out duties and responsibilities with limited  supervision, in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Process and/or review more complex HR transactions
  • Reconcile and balance HR transactions in detail. Escalate questions and/or discrepancies
  • Proactively contact field members of the Americas People Team (APT), other Ernst & Young personnel, and external parties, regarding processing issues
  • Recommend ways to overcome transaction issues to leaders
  • Prepare, contribute and potentially run reporting, as directed
  • Meet production volume and quality standards as outlined by department management
  • Help with special projects, as requested
  • Respond to customer needs and inquiries (routine and non-routine), by analyzing the activity and performing necessary and appropriate actions to reach resolution
  • Use proven judgment and experience in applying concepts and guidelines. Follow through on commitments, and take responsibility for results. Effectively prioritize assignments
  • Understand customer expectations, and deliver service that exceeds customers' needs within department guidelines
  • Use proven experience and abilities to coach less-experienced team members
 
Knowledge and skills requirements
  • Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and document transactions and issues with minimal supervision, following standard HRSSC procedures
  • English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication
  • A positive can-do attitude and approach to responsibilities. Confident in meeting new challenges and changes with an open mind, with demonstrated commitment to the job
  • Adept at working effectively with others within the HRSSC, field APT, with other Ernst & Young personnel, and external parties
  • Proficient with standard technology including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, intranet, and other APT related applications
  • Anticipate clients' needs, and identify and resolve issues that impact the delivery of quality service 
  
Experience
  • A minimum of 1-3 years related experience preferred, including specific knowledge of HR functions
 
Education
  • High school diploma, or equivalent work experience
