Job Summary & Responsibilities

Duties: Lead and design projects with broad implications, requiring system integration of multiple platforms primarily focused on securities clearance and settlement activities and neighboring functions.  Identify, define, direct and perform analysis to resolve project issues.  Partner with senior Operations and Technology users in defining technical strategy and requirements; resolving project issues; negotiating deliverables; and developing future business strategy.  Manage day-to-day activities of small to mid-size teams, reports status and raises critical issues to senior management.  Provide technical leadership to the team and technical advice to management.  

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related Senior Analyst/ Developer role in financial technology. Must have six (6) years of: experience in an Analyst/Developer role whose duties include project-focused activities such as client interaction, requirements gathering, resource management, client interactions, technical design, and implementation activities; experience managing multiple IT development projects across locations, including responsibility for architecting multiple components/systems; financial industry experience working with cash and/or securities settlement, covering interaction with external banks / clearing houses (e.g. Federal Reserve, DTCC) and relevant interfaces, including SWIFT and ISO15022 implementations; and hands on experience with software development lifecycle  (SDLC) and practices, including, but not limited to: Java 6, generics, annotations and strong object oriented design experience; C++; ORM / persistence frameworks (e.g. Hibernate); enterprise messaging (e.g. TIBCO EMS); automated acceptance testing frameworks (e.g. FitNesse); SQL on relational databases (e.g. Sybase 15); SDLC toolsets for version control and issue tracking (e.g. SVN, JIRA); Linux and Solaris shell scripting (e.g. Perl); experience interacting with non-technical Operations user groups; and experience producing detailed technical design documents.
