The Lead Software Engineer is a key technical
role responsible for the development, implementation, improvement and
continuous reinforcement of established Quality Assurance fundamental
practices that are utilized here at GE Software.
Analyze design requirements to develop and implement Test Automation framework.
Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of an Automation framework.
Automate maintainable Basic Acceptance Tests, Functional, and Regression
Perform White and Grey Box testing
Implementing Automation and Build Test Frameworks
Writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution
API testing
Test manually when needed
Provide consolidated status reports for defects and test case execution progress with respect to plan to upper management
Work closely with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions
Documenting all problems and assists in their resolution
Filing clear and concise bug reports; verify bug fixes; debug in multiple test frameworks
Bachelors in a Computer Science or related field of work
A minimum of 5 years’ experience developing automated test
cases including experience implementing and/or extending commercial
and/or open-source available automation tools
Eligibility Requirements:
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may
agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the
future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills
Must be willing to travel

Experience testing web services (SOAP/REST; Throughput, Performance under Load, etc.)
Familiarity or experience with popular development and open
source tools for source control, build management, continuous
integration (Maven, Bamboo, SVN), and system monitoring tools.
Linux/Unix environment management and development experience required.
Strong knowledge of Java, OSGI, Spring, XML, Spring, SQL, Oracle and Shell scripting highly desirable.
HP Quality Center; Jira; VMware.
Must be able to work closely with Development, Product Management, Design, Support, and other key stakeholders.
Experience with Agile development best practices.
Excellent communication and analytic skills.
Energetic and self-motivated with the ability to quickly embrace and understand new technologies.
Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and produce high quality products.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated
by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics.
