IRD iIRD is pursuing a multi- year opportunity in Disaster Risk Management in Southeast Asia. We are seeking expressions of interest (CVs) for Disaster Management Specialists for national and district positions.

The The core focus of the program is on reducing deaths and injury from natural disasters by strengthening community self-reliance and the host government's capacity to respond to disasters.
Man Mandatory Competencies and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Donor experience with DFID, AusAID, USAID or EU.
• Experience in disaster risk preparedness and response.
• Experience supporting government agencies to achieve policy and strategic objectives, particularly in a decentralised environment.
• Experience in the active engagement of partnerships with CSOs and community representatives and linking these to government systems.
• Experience in improving technical service delivery areas such as response planning and simulations, EOCs, early warning systems.

Pref Preferred Competencies and Experience:

• Previous regional experience.
• Master's degree in relevant field.
