HR Manager is the first point of contact for GE
Corporate’s managers and employees to provide counsel, coaching and
support on HR fundamentals and employment related questions. This role
is critical in executing our key HR initiatives, providing available and
responsive internal employee support, and driving HR functional
excellence and process improvement. This role provides HR support and
coaching for about 275 employees primarily in the US working in several
specialty areas within Tax.
Provide
dedicated guidance and coaching to managers and employees with specific
focus on: employee relations management, performance management, career
development and talent assessment, acquisition and retention, employee
advocacy/engagement, and application and training on workplace policies
and benefits processes
Provide employees and managers with an available first
point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and
issues
Partner with HR Business Partners and Organization &
Talent Development professionals to execute business-specific HR
strategies
Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to
ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures
and practices to promote an ethical and compliant work environment
Lead key HR processes and programs across the corporate and
global functions, including, but not limited to compensation planning
and staffing analysis; execute on business strategic, GEOS and diversity
initiatives
Manage employee relations issues and ensure concerns are properly identified, reported & resolved
Problem-solve using independent judgment based on the analysis of information, including such as financial and statistical data
Conduct HR training and support for functional processes
like EMS, Session C, Salary Planning, New Employee Orientation and New
Manager Assimilation
Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed
Maintain and protect confidential and personal information and data demonstrating discretion, judgment, and care
Provide coaching and mentorship to new team members, administrative support and HR generalists
Lead other site or function-wide HR projects as necessary including AAPs, audits, investigations, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
Minimum of 4 years professional work experience with a
minimum 2 in the Human Resources function with employee-facing
responsibilities such as recruiting, training, compensation, benefits,
employee development and/or performance management

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or similar business field
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills combined with strong drive to create a positive work environment
GE HRLP Graduate or graduate of a similar training program
Detail-oriented in written and oral communications
Demonstrated success with high volume workloads
Inquisitive approach to solving complex or unfamiliar problems
Internal and external customer service focus experience
Strong project management skills
Oracle HR systems knowledge
Strong presentation skills and facilitation experience,
needed to effectively deliver a variety of HR-related training programs
to groups of managers/colleagues
Sound knowledge of applicable labor laws and government/regulatory requirements.
Passion for innovative HR process improvement
Strong computer and internet skills, including strong Excel, PowerPoint skills
