Essential Responsibilities	If so, GE's Software Center of Excellence is looking for a talented web application developer to join our UI team. If you enjoy building application that solve real problems and like to make difficult things look easy this is the opportunity for you. As a Lead Developer Developer, iOS, you will work closely with Designers and Architects to build and shape the next generation mind+machines solutions that interface with GE's machines, cloud and web offerings. In this role you will: Act as a member of the Software Center of Excellence, representing the face of high quality design and development practices Work with the product teams to understand the requirements, prepare or review requirement specifications and technical design. Develop cutting edge applications utilizing the best of HTML5, Objective C, Core Animation, PhoneGap, JavaScript & CSS3 Diagnose and fix crashes, memory leaks etc. You will be relentless in learning; adopting and adapting to bleeding edge technology in order to consistently produce best-in-class work, deploying quality assured, well-tested code to production. Knowledge of and proven experience with agile deployment and rapid application development without compromising quality
Qualifications/Requirements	Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering OR in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) OR in Lieu of degree high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development

Desired Characteristics	Candidate must have demonstrated expertise in complex multi-tiered application development with experience in Objective C, IOS/Cocoa, Java and familiarity of developing large scale and volume-based applications Experience in iOS App development Experience using new technologies (such as CSS3, HTML5) preferred Create beautifully responsive, pixel-prefect layouts that are highly useable and perform well. Experience using SOAP and RESTful web services Developed rich interfaces HTML5, UIKit, UIWebView and Foundation Solid understanding of scalable design principles Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems Web container level experience (tomcat, jetty) Big Plus - Using Core Animation to create eye-popping effects and interfaces Big Plus - Multithreading, NSOperationQueue and Blocks/GCD
