We
are seeking a Technical Architect who will be working within
Microsoft's Industry Solutions Team! The primary responsibility
includes influencing and winning major solution driven opportunities in
the area of Justice and Public Safety within Microsoft State and Local
Government, covering technologies such as (but not limited to) Dynamics
CRM, BI / Predictive Analytics, O365, Windows Azure, CJIS Clouds,
Windows 8 Devices and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). This
individual will work with our Justice and Public Safety team to achieve
strategic solution oriented sales objectives, but also will be involved
in helping close strategic near-term opportunities. This individual
must have the ability to establish relationships at all levels and must
ultimately work to become a strategic advisor on technology and business
solutions influencing the government procurements and partner solution
design strategies.
The ideal Solution Architect should have knowledge of the State and Local Government Justice and Public Safety market. This includes areas of focus such as Corrections, Law Enforcement and Court Case Management. The position also requires knowledge of Microsoft strategy, technology stack and solutions as well as competitive strategy and solutions. Core daily responsibilities: Understanding of LOB (competitors’ solutions, legacy solutions, MS technical relevance) and experience developing solution architecture (Architecture Design Sessions, Proof of Concepts). The Solution Architect will support the Business Development Manager by helping convince customer decisions makers (e.g. CIO/CTO) and other BDMs/TDMs of MSFT technical relevance. You will also help in supporting the capture process in writing/leading RFP responses. The Solution Architect will work in concert with a virtual team, led by a Business Development Manager, ATU teams, partner managers, MCS, and key stakeholders within the product groups and other virtual teams. Required skills include: • Ability to develop complex technical solutions into a value proposition across the entire technology stack. • Excellent written and verbal skills. • Ability to recruit quality partners. • Proven track record in state and local government accounts. • Must be able to articulate technical complexities in simple terms at a strategic level and be able to develop technical leadership to move forward and close opportunities. • Ability to understand a customer's business issue and work with an account team to architect a buying vision around Microsoft solutions that solve business issues. • Confidence in competitive environments and ability to professionally represent Microsoft. • Experience independently managing previous efforts through completion. • Must be able to listen to customer requirements and conceptualize IT solutions to these problems. Then articulate these concepts to partners for development Qualifications should include 8-10 years technical experience in architecting complex solutions, preferably in state and local government. BA/BS degree preferred. Clearance helpful but not mandatory. Ideal candidate will reside in West Region and be able to travel 30%. MSUSJOBS SALES:PS SMSG |
