Global Procurement is responsible for establishing the programs to acquire products and services for BNY Mellon by employing deep category knowledge and commodity expertise, coupled with an understanding of the needs of our businesses and business partner groups.

The Corporate Treasury group is responsible for managing the investment portfolios and the liquidity and capital positions of the various subsidiary banks and of BNY Mellon.

Description

He/she will develop and implement global sourcing strategy for specific commodities in the Professional Services space across the company's divisions worldwide that support the goals of the business units including supplier consolidation, deep market knowledge, cost reductions, and 'make vs. buy' analysis. Implement savings metrics, oversee the development of sourcing strategies, industry, emerging market and supplier research, sourcing methodologies, and supplier selection for approximately $1.0B in spend. He/she will lead a team of category managers and sourcing managers successfully through execution of the strategy and goals for each of the categories under management including Legal, Audit, Management Consulting and IT Consulting. The position requires a high level of interaction and interpersonal skills to interface with senior management as well as key suppliers across the categories supply base. He/she must ensure that all cross functional teams and relationships are established with clear communication aligning with the line of business partners.

Qualifications

Minimum: Undergraduate or Supply Chain Degree. Preferred: Advanced Degree. 1 2+ years of demonstrated experience managing large complex projects and teams . Extensive knowledge and understanding of procurement and sourcing processes and practices for the se categor ies . Demonstrated experience managing category spend through pricing, demand and governance for sustainable results . Demonstrated experience in negotiating and tracking successful results.
