Business Overview:
Based in New York, Corporate Finance North America (CFNA) delivers the full range of investment banking products of BNP Paribas in coordination with, and with the support of, other country teams and sector groups, capitalizing upon both industry-specific skills of the sector and local insight, knowledge, relationships and market intelligence. This group works extensively with other areas within the bank to develop and provide seamless solutions to a clients' investment banking needs including: acquisition finance, leverage finance, fixed income and equity products and commercial banking solutions.
CFNA focuses primarily on cross-border M&A transactions between North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia. Within M&A, the team is organized along three primary industry groups: Consumer Products, Industrials & Support Services and Energy & Mining. In addition, CFNA opportunistically supports others sectors throughout the global organization such as Media, among others. In Equity Capital Markets, CFNA seeks lead positions on convertibles and co-manager positions in equity transactions with Coverage and Territories International clients.
Responsibilities:
• Assist on the marketing and execution of M&A transactions.
• Prepare and produce marketing materials.
• Build detailed financial models.
• Perform business valuations utilizing public market and M&A transaction multiples and the discounted cash flow and LBO valuation methodologies.
• Perform industry and company specific research.
• Provide all other support as assigned.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• 2-3 years' experience working in a bulge bracket or large boutique investment banking, private equity, consulting or a Big Four accounting firm is a must.
• Demonstrated record of academic excellence.
• Strong data management and research skills.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Team player, self-motivated and entrepreneurial.
• Detail oriented with a complete focus on quality results/deliverables.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Technical proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
