Job description
The Business Analytics & Optimization (BAO) Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) executes sales, technical leadership and delivery, and demonstrates proficiency in identifying and developing Information Lifecycle Management and/or Governance (ILG) solution opportunities that lead with BAO offerings or solutions.

The candidate will possess the ability to lead business process analysis and establish business transformation models to enable clients to achieve defensible disposal of unnecessary data and the full cost and risk reduction benefits of disposal. Conduct and direct “as is” process assessments, assess organizational capacity and organization structures, and define future state process benchmarks and organization change models. Fully align the transformation plan with the savings and risk reduction achievement plan. Serve as subject matter leader in C-suite dialogue as well as client mid- and senior-level management.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assess current state ILG processes and risks – Conduct interviews with legal, records, and IT to document current state and assess maturity and associated risks with each process
-Lead interviews with Records and Compliance - understand how they develop retention schedule, manage taxonomy, manage records and organize records liaisons
-Lead interviews with Legal eDiscovery – legal holds process, volume of litigation, evidence collection and management approach, coordination with IT and records, eDiscovery and review cost profiling
-Lead interviews with IT – application and storage provisioning and decommissioning, use and application of retention schedules, including back up and disaster recovery schedules
-Lead Practitioner Education/Socialization of Solution -- 1) why enterprise is looking at this program, 2) how they fit into the picture, and 3) how their job is better and easier with the ILG program and solution
-Lead ILG Solution Demos – Coordinate and/or conduct demos to help practitioners envision work in the system context and see the benefits the solution provides to them
-Cultivate Trust – Through credibility and relationship and communication skills, develop the trust of legal and records organizations to ensure solution advocacy, program participation and benefit achievement
-Define business process transformation objectives to achieve financial and risk reduction outcomes – establish future state maturity of key processes and capacity and capability required to reach target levels of process reliability tied directly to business case
-Define and help establish an ILG Transformation Program Office for client – establish period metrics, executive committee structures, PMO staff plan, charter, and communications plan for launch and beyond
-Socialize, adjust, and get full buy-in on program – Ensure client organization adopts the savings objectives and metabolizes the transformation required to achieve those objectives
-Work collaboratively with services and delivery teams from across IBM and client organizations to achieve intended outcomes.

It is also expected that newly hired resources into the Global Business Services U.S. practice live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 miles) of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Hartford, CT; Houston, TX; Kansas City, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; New York City, NY and surrounding area; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; and Washington, DC.

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 3 years experience in selling and/or delivering Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solutions
  • At least 3 years experience in identifying, qualifying and closing ILM business opportunities
  • At least 2 years experience in leading a sales team
  • At least 3 years experience in ILM technical solution development
  • Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • English: Fluent
Preferred
  • Master's Degree
  • At least 5 years experience in selling and/or delivering Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solutions
  • At least 5 years experience in identifying, qualifying and closing ILM business opportunities
  • At least 3 years experience in leading a sales team
  • At least 5 years experience in ILM technical solution development
