Global Facilities Engineering is a global organization that
delivers engineering and project management for large and highly complex
capital projects at our facilities such as Manufacturing Plants,
Technical Centers, and General Offices. These positions are Project
Managers who are responsible for delivering capital projects primarily
in the North America region.
The Project Manager positions currently needed are:
1. Project Manager with Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
having broad knowledge of all building systems (Structural,
Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical)
2. Project Manager with Bachelor of Science (or Bachelor of Arts)
in Architecture having broad knowledge of all building systems
(Structural, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical)
These positions lead all aspects of a facility project from project
establishment through start up. You will lead several internal and
external teams to develop and align on facility scope options, create
cost estimates, establish schedule requirements and identify critical
path items, plan and execute the construction, lead the procurement of
material and services, and lead the CQV program and start-up effort.
These roles may have responsibility for one or more projects at any
given time.
The Project Manager will also have responsibility for assuring that
all the proper P&G resources are applied to each project such Real
Estate, Tax, Insurance, F&A, External Relations, etc. This position
also must assure that every project adheres to Corporate goals and
programs such as minority business development, sustainable design, low
cost solutions, QA, etc.
Some additional skills preferred are:
- Demonstrated experience at providing Project & Construction Management and leadership on complex capital projects over the past 2-5 years. The candidate must be able to provide leadership on all aspects of the projects including scope development, cost, schedule, construction, and start-up.
- Demonstrated influencing and communication skills with all levels of the organization. These projects, because of their high investment level, require the Project Manager to be able simplify complex technical issues for management communication and decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and leverage external suppliers to complete capital projects. Because of the complexity and specific skills required to deliver these projects, external suppliers such as architects, design engineers, and construction management firms are highly leveraged to execute the work. To be successful, the candidate must be able to effectively communicate and direct these resources to achieve projects goals.
Procter & Gamble generally seeks to hire individuals that are
in good standing at their university and/or field of study, this
typically means people with an overall G.P.A. of 3.00 or above on a 4.0
scale
All positions are entry level management roles.
Qualifications
BS in Civil Engineering or BS/BA in Architecture is preferred, with
broad knowledge of all building disciplines (Structural, Civil,
Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical) desired.
Travel may be required for this position.
