Overall Scope and Common Needs
Experience in consulting engagements for large multi-million dollar projects, with demonstration of some of the following areas, related to telecommunications (all types: Cellular, Wireline, Cable etc.):
  • Revenue Assurance (all aspects of order to cash, 3rd parties, transactional and logistics)
  • Fraud (usage, subscription and occupational fraud detection and resolution)
  • BSS/OSS, tools and solution implementation
  • Organizational / Operational and process change
  • System Integration management
  • Metrics and benefits development
 
Prior business and management consulting experience within delivery and / or sales arena
5-10 years working for telecom service providers (fixed, mobile or cable) in an operational capacity with a leading Consultancy or Systems Integrator in a consulting capacity
3-5 years tangible Revenue Assurance & Fraud Management consulting experience
Good strategic understanding to enable industry trends and developments to e translated into customer needs
Candidates must have strong writing skills and experience presenting findings and deliverables to senior management
Self driven, professional disposition and able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
Ability to distil key benefits from a multitude of process, systems, data and revenue sources
Must be able to travel a minimum of 80%
 
Specific Skills:
  • Wide telecom, RA/FM subject expertise.
  • Business process reengineering a bonus (e.g. six sigma or similar)
  • Good grasp of business and benefit road mapping, methodologies and approaches for delivering benefits
  • Experience of project management, developing and presenting business cases and benefits
  • Good strategic understanding to enable industry trends and developments to be translated into customer needs
 
Sales focused consultants must have:
  • Identify and drive sales opportunities
  • Seek contacts and build relationships
  • Present the opportunities as a ‘value delivery’ benefit for the client
  • Formulate programs of work with a client
    • Statement of work (SOW), plans and key delivery milestones
    • Develop a budget and cost for consulting engagements and track during implementation
    • Drive the SOW to sign off and into delivery
    • Build an appropriately skilled team
    • Manage start up and continue to ensure focus and benefits delivery
    • Continuously redirect resources towards specific benefit delivery
    • Set up client reporting and continue to build relationships
  • Consultant should be able to run in ‘delivery mode’ as needed
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, PPT, and Visio.
 

Job Summary

Drive or participate in customer engagements from lead generation to contract fulfillment, secure that consulting projects are fulfilled with quality, in time & within budget. Work closely with the customer to be able to propose improvements & identify new business opportunities.
