We are seeking high caliber Production Trainer, team player to perform on-the-job, process, and documentation training in Assembly/Production areas. The primary function is to introduce, train, and assess manufacturing process, procedures, practices, and documentation to the production operators. *Designated back-up for Group Leader.
Impact this role will have on St. Jude Medical:
  • Provide instructional training and assessment support for GMP, manufacturing processes, procedures, practices, and documentation. Must be able to proficiently assemble and package medical devices following company procedures and all processes within primary work area, meeting or exceeding quality and production standards. Use of magnification and other equipment required to perform assigned job(s).
  • Maintain required training records including employee training, completion, certification, and compliance.
  • Responsible for the onboarding training of New Hires and evaluate employee understanding of processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ensures that correct revisions of manufacturing documents are available on production floor.
  • Performs regular process audits to assure efficacy of training performed.
  • Participates in the development or improvement of process work instructions and training modules through the approved documentation system.
  • Other duties as assigned, including scheduling and other duties as necessary to provide backup for the Group Leader and Material Coordinator.

  • Required to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses /certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred.
  • Must have 3 years of assembly experience with 1-2 years in medical device assembly.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to read and understand written procedures and follow directions.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and have good communication skills. Must have the ability to read and interpret written documentation.
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
Your preferred qualifications and education:
  • Previous training experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of Lean principles and ability to identify process improvements.
