What You'll Do/Need
In Telecom Engineering we focus on providing world-class technical solutions for our clients. We provide and support scalable, reliable and stable communications solutions for our business. Core PBX and ancillary applications, like call recording, call accounting and voicemail are in our core arsenal. A heavy concentration on an effective contact center environment is also something we're proud of.

Responsibilities
  • Lead medium to large telephony projects
  • Identify technical issues and risks and advocate alternative solutions
  • Oversee the design and engineering of new technical solutions and locations
  • Download firmware, patches and upgrades to cards and equipment
  • Installation and implement gateways, circuit cards, T-1s, etc.
  • Produce and analyze traffic reports to show use of disc space, port usage, channels and busy hour, and recommend any changes
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation on telecom processes
  • Regularly consult and interact with non-technical team members
  • Troubleshoot complex trunking and communication issues
Requirements
  • Experience with Avaya Aura Communication Manager and Asterisk systems preferred
  • Knowledge of several facets of contact center technologies, including ACD Reporting administration, call routing, IVRs and Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)
  • Knowledge of DHCP/TFTP
  • Knowledge of AES and System/Session Manager servers
  • Strong experience with voice telephony and networking technologies used by Network Providers (DS-3, ISDN, and SIP)
  • Knowledge of system monitoring and maintenance tools such as SCOM, GroundWorks and SiteScope
  • Possess a basic working knowledge of Microsoft servers and administration
  • Analytical and creative thinking and extremely client-focused mindset (internal and external)
  • Excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must participate in an on-call rotation
