This position reports to our Supplier Quality Engineering Department in Houston, TX.Responsibilities
• Provide technical and process guidance to Supplier Quality Coordinators and Product Quality Coordinators who have entry level or limited quality assurance/quality control experience in the WR Quality organization.• Support Subsea division related practices to ensure implementation and administration of processes including eSMDR Procedures, QNs, SNs traceability and data analysis (Pareto analysis), in addition to other projects assigned.
• Will need to communicate with FMC personnel at all levels i n all Regions, as well as external suppliers and organizations.
• Must have ability to identify issues and propose solutions using his/her extensive working knowledge of process improvement and problem solving techniques, some knowledge of root cause analysis process etc.
• Must maintain the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast paced environment. Must be proficient in assigned areas and continuously meet or exceed quality, safety and production targets.
Main Tasks
• In addition to daily Supplier Coordinator tasks:• Map and monitor the overall performance of the Supplier documentation submittal process for pre- manufacturing documents and Quality Notifications.
• Allocate SQ Coordinator resources
• Identify and address roadblocks to eSMDR approvals
• Provide training on eSMDR Workflow process
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent with 4 plus years of related administrative experience, or new graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field with one to two years of professional experience applying fundamental concepts, practices and procedures in quality field.• Knowledge/experience in documentation, process flow, and file retrieval and storage systems is a plus.
• Excellent ability to problem solve and handle many diverse tasks simultaneously.
• Must be able to work with interruptions and manage a large volume of data and paperwork. Attention to detail required. Must be proficient in relevant software applications, including intermediate program functions in MS Office such as word processing, Excel, and other software where applicable, including Microsoft Visio. SAP or other related mainframe systems exposure a plus but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of FMC personnel, as we ll as external suppliers and organizations mandatory.
• Work Environment: Spends 80%+ of time in a temperature-controlled environment. May be exposed to possible hazards including high noise, heavy machinery and inclement weather while visiting FMC shop or supplier sites.
• Physical Demands: Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Some moving of files and other office documents may be required.
