  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or acceptable combination of equivalent post secondary education and experience will be considered. An MBA is a significant plus.
  • 10+ years previous experience working in software design, integration and/or services within the Telecommunications, Media or IT space is required.
  • 7+ years previous experience working as a Solution Architect or Solution Manager is required.
  • Past experience working in a direct customer-facing role with related pre-sales responsibilities is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of IP networking and Internet technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, Radius and SIP)
  • Past Experience working with Layer 7 applications/proxies, CDN technologies, video optimization technologies and packet core.
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies (call flow) and related protocols preferred
  • Knowledge of Ericsson products or telecom experience in an Operator (Carrier) or MSO environment is highly desired.
  • A "Get it Done" attitude is critical. Ability to work within a team environment as both a leader and a participant.
  • A self-starter requiring minimal supervision is essential.
  • Solid understanding of customers' business needs, drivers and ability to turn their needs & requirements into winning solutions by eliciting relevant details using a consultative approach.
  • Ability to gain customer confidence through subject matter expertise that includes the ability to discuss solution strengths, weaknesses, and possible out-of-the box alternatives where necessary.
  • Excellent oral, interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ability to travel as needed both domestic and international, possibly on short notice with availability to support sales efforts during non-business hours.
Job Summary:
 
Accountable for customer centric offerings, including re-use, based on the complete Ericsson portfolio and 3PP. Responsible for creating and taking forward offerings to existing or new markets and customers with potential for substantial growth through innovative business and go-to-market models, cross all engagement models. Responsible for sales of offerings within the TV & Media Management practice. Responsible for Lead Management to establish a long term business growth. Partner with the Key Account & Account Managers in driving customer engagements by providing thought leadership and support in identifying and capturing opportunities. Responsible for creating a highly capable and experienced organization, able to work with C-level with customers, long-term engagements and to prove Ericsson credibility in the field with successful business cases.
 
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Provide Product and Solutions Sales support for Television and Media Management Practice.
  • Participate in the sales process and provide services or solutions product packaging and pricing support.
  • Develop and recommend technical solutions and commercial strategies based on customer goals, objectives, needs and existing infrastructure. The solutions may include Ericsson products, 3rd Party Products and professional services.
  • Recommend services or project portfolio strategies according to understanding of market realities and customers' needs.
  • Solution responsibility for customer proposals including statement of compliance, product dimensioning, services scoping and technical proposal documentation.
  • Drive customer sales and proposal presentations.
  • Gather customer requirements as part of engagements to drive solutions and product roadmaps. Includes interfacing with the Portfolio Management groups to secure development of solutions that meet North American Customers' needs in a timely manner.
  • Proactively work with Customer Units and Strategy organization to create competitive offers.
  • Actively engage customers using a consultative sales approach, including establishing C-Level relationships.
