Position Summary

Solutions Manager III – MSN – ATT CU:
 
The Ericsson CTO team for the Customer Unit AT&T is currently seeking a Solutions Manager III for the Multiservice Network domain area. This role will provide leadership for technology direction in order to continuously anticipate and meet AT&T customer requirements.
Specifically, the needs of AT&T are shifting, with an increasing emphasis on end-end het net transport solutions, intelligent management of content delivery, dynamic policy and solutions and the development of an API ecosystem that leverages AT&T’s core network assets. AT&T’s value proposition has moved well beyond increased network edge capacity achieved through wireless and wireline innovation. It is now focused on capacity, management and intelligence.
These requirements place a heavy burden on analytical skills, broad technical competence and the ability of leading and developing a diverse team with deep specialization in current and emerging solution areas.
 
Job description,Solutions Manager III Multiservice Network, CTO team:
 
In this role you will be expected to continuously analyze key market and technology trends, with the intention to pro-actively address critical customer pain points by developing winning propositions, fully leveraging Ericsson’s global technology and services leadership.
 
Main responsibilities:
 
· Identify critical customer needs thru a consultative customer engagement
· Lead the development of value-adding solutions to address key customer needs, fully leveraging Ericsson’s SW, HW and professional services capabilities
· Lead interaction with internal stakeholders, eg EP, BU/PA, for requirements management, roadmap management, and new product introduction planning
· Lead interaction with relevant third party solutions providers and alliances
· Localization of product marketing/value creation arguments
· Providing technical leadership and management of critical network performance issues
· Build long term AT&T relationships and position Ericsson as a preferred business partner in the Multiservice Network domains
Requested competence:
The Ericsson AT&T Customer Unit is seeking an inspiring leader with experience leading teams, and past responsibility for high-level technology vision and product strategy. He or she will have a strong track record of interface with telecommunications carriers/MSO customers. Perhaps most importantly, appropriate candidates will have successfully managed a high degree of complexity in highly demanding, time-to-market constrained environments.
Well-suited candidates for this role will have already served in Technology and Development, Business Development, Product Management or Engagement Practice for a minimum of 5 years and will have ideally had significant past experience in both small resource constrained settings, as well as large organizations with effective processes and structures in place. Experience coordinating between market-level and corporate business unit stakeholders is critical.
Prospective candidates should possess:
· An undergraduate degree in a technology or an engineering related discipline (i.e. EE or Computer Science).
· A post graduate degree in technology or engineering sciences with a software emphasis would be considered ideal.
· A Masters of Business Administration would also be considered an asset for this role.
Experience:
 
· 15 years of progressive experience with steady tenure and notable accomplishments in the carrier-grade communications infrastructure space.
· Extensive knowledge of the telecommunications industry with a particular emphasis on issues faced by service providers.
· Extensive knowledge of related communications technologies [3GPP-based GSM, UMTS & LTE and standards activites.]
· Extensive knowledge of transport technologies such as xDSL, GPON, Ethernet, IP, MPLS, Microwave, NLOS and applied network transport architecture and engineering experience
· Extensive knowledge 3GPP and wireline packet core and policy technologies, solutions and architecture
· Knowledge of multimedia technologies [multi-screen], content delivery and management
· Knowledge of IMS, application development ecosystems for native [appstore] and web environments
· Proven track record of solving complex and evolving customer requirements and experience in the diverse set of engineering disciplines required to address them
· Demonstrated success in team leadership, carrier-grade product management and market launch as evidenced by broad adoption of products or services by customers.
· Experience from interacting with and presenting to Operators at VP level
Skills:
· Outstanding communication and presentation skills, the ability to listen, are a prerequisite
· Superior analytical and problem solving skills are required
· Superior team working and collaboration skills, the ability to build a trustworthy and lasting relationship with the customer, other groups in the Customer Unit, product units and other internal organizations are fundamental for succeeding in this position.
· Solid leadership, conflict resolution and negotiation skills are essential.
· Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a multi-cultural/global environment
· Ability to travel as needed both domestic and international.
