Responsible for areas within the controllership function for legal entities shared between multiple GE Capital Corporate (GECC) business units. Will assist the Shared Entity Controllership leader to design, modify, improve, and enhance controllership processes for legal entities shared by business units. Will be reponsible for aspects of the implementation of a review and close process to include operational tools, operational rhythms, and close analytics and metrics.
Role Summary/Purpose continued: Responsibilities will include review entities within the shared Legal Entity population, financial control and accounting involving shared entities, design and implementation of legal entity close processes, and controllership of various shared entity metrics like economic ownership. This role will work closely with the Risk and Regulatory Reporting teams to find synergies at the root process level and then improve charter, effectiveness, and cost of processes at the legal entity level. This role will drive operational review and rigor across multiple GECC business units to support GECC's "Get to Strong" initiatives in Legal Entity Controllership.


  • Support an area within operational controllership (i.e. external reporting, cash settlement, client management, closing & reporting).
  • Serve as subject matter expert to drive controllership simplification and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure routines and procedures are in place for timely, accurate collection of regulatory reporting data for a focused area (FR Y-9C, Y-9LP, Y-11, 2314, FFIEC 041).
  • Consolidate account reconciliations and own one or more closing processes.
  • Conduct in depth analysis and develop solutions to ensure compliance and proper controls.
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of finance or accounting experience
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Experience managing projects
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
  • Proficient use of financial systems and Microsoft Office (eg. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


    Eligibility Requirements:
  • MUST be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification
  • Legal entity controllership experience
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Public Accounting experience
  • Graduate of a GE Leadership Program such as Financial Management Program (FMP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
