Description
This role will provide program management support for 1 or more workstreams within the IMDC transformation program. This position will also provide program management support to other Information Management initiatives within the IMDC architecture team.
- Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating programs from initiation through to implementation.
- Responsible for managing program costs, resources, change requests, risk and issues to ensure that maximum delivered.
- Provide regular program status updates.
- Communicates program strategy direction and changes to stakeholders
- Accountable for engaging appropriate delivery resources to ensure program/project delivery.
- Develops the program strategy, high-level project plans and ensures that scope and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders.
- Ensures that the supporting business case is updated throughout the course of delivery;
- Partners with technical architects to design and implement the infrastructure components necessary to deliver world class performance and availability.
- Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed.
- Identifies and tracks key project milestones (base-lining critical path) and recommends adjustments to supporting Project Managers.
- Ensures accurate reflection of project budgets, forecasts and actuals within Clarity.
- Monitors and communicates the progress of the program delivery and ensures timely and effective communication of the status in terms of cost, forecast, schedule and assessment of risks/issues.
- Pro-actively anticipates program/project(s) risks and issues and ensures that appropriate mitigation planning is in place to avoid compromising delivery.
- Ensures effective usage of change control procedures and processes to maintain control on scope, schedule and cost.
- Contributes to continual process improvement or re-engineering activities.
Qualifications
- Highly organized and willing to take ownership of program logistics.
- 8+ years experience technical project management experience, engineering and/or operations experience is a plus.
- 1+ years proven experience managing large programs
- Requires financial acumen in terms of representing project financials within Clarity, as well as, fair understanding of general accounting principles
- Ability to identify and report on KPI’s across multiple projects and infrastructure activities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate across third parties and technical and business leadership
- Solid understanding of distributed infrastructure and deployment processes
- Experience managing fast paced project delivery across multiple resourcing channels to deliver technology solutions that meet customer expectations for timeliness and quality
- Ability to get industry leading solutions to market efficiently and effectively
- Experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing teams
- Ability to enable business capabilities through innovation
- Ability to build and manage relationships effectively in a matrixed environment
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies a plus
- Comfort working in an evolving and rapidly changing environment
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferred
- PMI certification is a plus
- Experience with Information Management is a plus
