Description
American Express OPEN is the leading payment card issuer for small businesses in the United States and supports business owners with products and services to help them run and grow their business. OPEN is seeking an individual to lead a team of 9-10 existing Business Consultants towards meeting and/or exceeding sales goals.
The successful candidate will ensure sales targets and production metrics are achieved by their team through continuous coaching and development. Candidate should have demonstrated ability to coach employees to drive results in an outbound prospecting cold call environment. The ability to identify and communicate successful sales strategies is critical.
Bachelor’s degree, with 3+ years of experience leading an outbound sales team preferred. B2B experience is a plus, particularly within the financial services industry.
Qualifications
* Strong will to win and entrepreneurial mindset
* Ability to articulate American Express OPEN value proposition and coach team to communicate how cards will drive specific and tangible results for each prospect
* Coach team to uncover needs of prospects, and recommend OPEN products that meet these needs.
* Analyze prospect data to prioritize selling activities, and to develop appropriate strategies to meet key efficiency and effectiveness metrics.
* Possess enthusiastic “can-do” attitude and strong work ethic
* Strong verbal and written business communication skills
* Ability to analyze results and provide appropriate feedback
* Ability to provide one-one one coaching in a positive way with personal accountability.
* Proven ability to drive results, with evidence of achieving and exceeding goals
* Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills
* Strong relationship management skills with both internal business partners and external customers
* A desire for a long-term career in sales, client management and/or marketing with American Express.
* Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet), Experience with Salesforce.com a plus.
