Description:
Ericsson is looking for a candidate to utilize their business acumen and strong information security technical experience to partner and ensure a secure information environment for Ericsson’s managed services customers.  This position will interface directly with Ericsson internal teams as well as our customer’s technical security teams.
This role is responsible for continuously protecting our customers’ critical information assets and brand name, assuring compliance with corporate and regulatory policies/standards & industry best practices, while simplifying, enhancing and enabling business initiatives.
 
Responsibility:
The Network Security candidate will:
  • Provide consultative services focused on information security. Ensure that all layers of the network and application infrastructure integrate in a secure fashion.
  • Conduct security risk assessments on all computing systems and components, both new and current, utilizing the appropriate security diagnostic tools. Identify security deficiencies and instigate appropriate corrective action, and report on findings.
  • Lead and execute Information Security projects. Develop, execute on and communicate project tasks, timelines, and status information
  • Assist in monitoring the compliance of the customer’s Information Security policy. Monitor protection levels and security related events. Address detected security issues.
  • Collaborate with operational staff to determine the correct security requirements.
  • Understand complex network architecture and industry security standards and best practices.
  • Interpret and communicate customer security policies and standards.

  • All Managed Services Customers and Vendors
 
Qualifications:
Skills, Experience and Education:
  • Proven experience in the information security field
  • Technical understanding of large, complex OSS and TCP/IP networks
  • Demonstrated expertise working with IP networking, understanding security related technologies including encryption, IPSec, VPNs, Firewalls, and Intrusion detection/prevention
  • Industry certifications a plus (CISSP, CCSP, CCNA, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, customer service and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively as a team member
  • Complex problem-solving and analytical skills; strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be detail-oriented
  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner
 
Travel Required/Travel percentage:  Up to 10%
