We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director / Director to join Quintiles as a Therapeutic Strategic Lead within Immunology & Internal Medicine (IIM). The responsibilities include:

Apply therapeutic knowledge to proposal strategies influencing customers and increasing sales

Define, review and sign off proposal strategies and budgets
-
Lead and/or attend Bid Defense meetings as strategy expert on an as required basis
-
Partner with key customers as a clinical trial expert and via governance structures
-
Lead and implement strategic initiatives for IIM business growth
-
Lead and partner on strategic outsourcing decisions for third party providers
-
Design, support, input and maintain protocol-specific and IIM therapeutic area training across the Therapeutic Delivery Unit (TDU)
-
Foster and leverage relationships with Thought Leaders both internal and external to Quintiles.

Attend selected R&D/scientific/clinical public meetings as a representative of Quintiles to keep abreast of current trends and developments from a scientific, customer and competitor perspective

Participate in projects or initiatives as required

Consulted on hire of new PM/TDU staff
Key Competencies:

Scientific and therapeutic expert within GI & broad spectrum Internal Medicine

Good verbal and written communication skills

Strong leadership skills, capable of leading a virtual team in a matrix structure

Innovative - looking to create or develop opportunities that add value for the customer and Quintiles

Strong negotiating and influencing skills necessary to sell proposal strategy to customers
Qualifications
Bachelor's
degree in life sciences or related field and 10 years' clinical
research experience including 6 years' project management experience and
experience in clinical operations; or equivalent combination of
education, training and experience. Extensive operational project
experience within GI & Internal Medicine.
