As a Market Analyst for John Deere Reman located in Springfield, MO, you will analyze data to identify the effects of market influences on sales trends.  In addition, you will:
  • Prepare and provide analysis of both regular and customized reports for the JDR extended leadership team and JDR leadership teams
  • Represent the Marketing group in monthly Composite Forecasting meetings
  • Analyze sales trends to recommend forecast adjustments
  • Compile and provide analysis of dealership survey trends
  • Manage specific projects for the JDR Marketing team such as Vintage Pricing Process, Obsolescence Process and Reman Product Requests
  • Represent the Marketing group in the JD Reman PDP process to provide initial forecasts and stocking levels for new product introductions
  • Work on projects relating to competitive intelligence, market research and improved forecasting methodologies

What It Takes

 
We need an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, who is comfortable working both independently and in a team environment, and thrives on solving problems. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in business management, marketing, accounting/finance, agricultural sciences or equivalent experience in a related career field.  We also require:
  • Product or service development process/management experience.
  • 1-3 years of marketing experience
  • 1-3 years of experience gathering market data using research tools; applying statistical analysis principles/methodologies to make recommendations
  • 1-3 years of field experience with regular customer contact, knowledge of dealer/distribution network, limited geographic area of responsibility, and broad product knowledge
  • Internal or external industry specific experience in relevant discipline.

A strong candidate will also have:
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint Intermediate to advanced skills in business communication
  • Good time management skills
  • Basic Project Management skills
  • An understanding of remanufacturing
  • Basic level of mechanical aptitude
  • Basic understanding of Ag, Construction and Forestry applications of John Deere equipment
