We
are seeking a highly talented and motivated individual to work with
Baird’s Research, Products and Services team. The main objective of the
Annuity Specialist is to provide subject-matter expertise to Baird’s
Private Wealth Management Financial Advisors and their clients. This
internal role will be responsible for conducting marketing activities to
promote annuity products and solutions within the Baird network. This
involves working with Financial Advisors and other cross-functional
Baird teams to deliver expert knowledge and advice on specific annuity
products, solutions and strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Communicate information to Financial Advisors on annuity products
(variable, fixed, immediate and fixed indexed annuities) and answer
incoming technical product questions.
2. Consult with Financial
Advisors to determine their clients’ needs and select appropriate
annuity solutions that meet the client’s objectives. Participate in
client meetings and calls when requested.
3. Coordinate and
communicate the launch of new products, product changes and marketing
initiatives to the field; occasional travel to branch offices to present
annuity sales concepts and products.
4. Create marketing
materials on annuity products and solutions, and develop content for the
Annuity & Insurance Newsletter for field distribution. Update and
post marketing materials to intranet site for field visibility and
utilization.
5. Prepare training material and present to Baird’s
new Financial Advisor Associates and Client Relationship Associates
continuing education programs.
6. Develop relationships with
insurance partners to create more coordinated marketing efforts to the
field in an effort to drive increased participation and utilization of
our products and services.
7. Occasionally represent Baird at annuity industry conventions and insurance partner forums.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services or annuity field.
2. Life insurance license required and ability to become Series 6/7 and 63 licensed.
3. Fundamental working knowledge of annuity products and solutions strongly desired.
4. Strong oral and written communication skills with internal and external clients; strong presentation skills.
5. Exceptional organizational skills as well as ability to manage multiple tasks.
6.
Must be a self-starter, work independently and possess excellent follow
through skills. In addition, must have strong coordination skills to
work well with other cross-functional teams.
7. Ability to shift focus in a fast-paced and ever changing environment.
