Isilon
wants to talk to candidates interested in the following opportunity:
We
are seeking a Materials Manager to lead an operations team in Seattle as part
of EMC’s Global External Manufacturing team. Successful applicants will
develop and establish operational policies, supervise a team of 4 supply chain
analysts, and manage materials execution in an outsourced model. The
successful candidate may also participate
in development of functional
strategy. This position will report to the Director of Materials in
Isilon Operations.
GENERAL
SUMMARY
· Manage & execute material
supply to meet ISD Revenue Plan through weekly interface with Contract
Manufacturers on materials reporting/execution.
· End-of-Quarter execution and
point of escalation for critical part shortages.
· Act as the Operations leader
for COGS & product cost management.
· Product Lifecycle Management as
it impacts materials planning (LTBs, lead Excess & Obsolescence reviews,
minimization of excess and obsolete material, material disposition).
· Identify High Risk Materials
and define/implement risk mitigation plans to support the business.
· Contract Manufacturer
management/coordination for all materials including, but not limited to,
compliance to business splits, buffer inventory requirements, Buy downs,
Purchase Price Variance, supplier QBR Support.
· Point of escalation for all
materials-related execution at CMs.
· Manage a team of 4 ICs and
their associated development plans.
· Develops operating forecasts,
conducts distribution network analyses, applies and utilizes inventory
management and production planning tools, develops production capacity plans,
and tracks supply chain performance.
· Provides supply chain/logistics
support to Sales and Operations planning for new product introductions.
 Has overall responsibility for
developing and administering budgets, schedules, and performance standards for
the organizational unit.
