The Division’s mission is to become the prime source for commercial cleaning providing clever, easy-to-use cleaning solutions targeting small business service contractors sourcing supplies through retail and industrial/institutional distribution. Position Summary: Oversee and own all aspects of product development and life-cycle for the new SC Johnson Professional brand of commercial cleaning solutions. This role exists within a start-up division and involves extensive collaboration through a matrix organization. The ideal candidate will have general experience within multiple marketing functions including n both product and shopper roles. Prior experience working within DIY, Mass, Club, I&I, Jan/San, and/or Office channels would be optimal. Responsibilities: • Strategic planning and tactical activities expanding distribution, product life-cycle, and ongoing portfolio development. • Perform ongoing product, segment, competitive, and industry analysis to develop response scenarios and actions. • Champion the development of all 360 integrated communications along the path to purchase including; Digital, trade, instore, advertising, special events, and ad hoc opportunities. • Drive research to continually gain user insights leading to a robust solution set. • Ongoing collaboration with R&D identifying testing and product performance objectives. • Forecasting and ongoing P/L management • Lead and manage all packaging design and development in conjunction with packaging engineers. • Collaborate with sales teams driving retailer-specific opportunities, presentation decks, ongoing portfolio expansion, and necessary selling tools. • Numerous occasions will arise where support is required outside the job description. Specific Skills Required: • Role requires abilities in: product management, shopper marketing, creative problem solving, translating user insights into viable business strategies, alignment of cross-functional team/management, and partnering with internal/external resources. • Strong organizational skills with attention to details. • Proactive and results-oriented approach. • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate concisely across all levels of management and customers. • Proven ability to drive results via creative opportunity identification and execution. • Demonstrated track record of achievements. • High sense of urgency and personal accountability. • The individual selected is expected to be in the role for 2+ years. Education/Experience Requirements: • Minimum – BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field is required. • 4+ years broad marketing experience commercializing and promoting products sold through retail channels of distribution. • Consistent & proven track record of making measurable contributions within prior organizations.
